Service Description

If you’d like advice about joint problems such as: fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, long term back pain (present for more than 6 weeks or on/off for a long time), we can help you. Book an appointment with our GP, Kate Davies, who will discuss your current health concerns and help you find ways to manage or improve your health. Kate has a special interest in lifestyle medicine which is designed to be used alongside traditional medicines. Following the consultation and confirmation that it’s the right option for you, Kate can write a private prescription if necessary. Please note, these consultations will be conducted using the principles of prescribing lifestyle medicine. Medication will only be prescribed if absolutely necessary. This is a remote appointment conducted by video or telephone call. If possible, please prepare for your appointment by getting an up-to-date blood pressure check. You can purchase automatic home BP monitors for around £20 from pharmacies or online retailers which can be helpful to monitor your health going forward, or please feel free to contact us to book a free BP check in advance of your appointment. This will help the doctor accurately assess your suitability for any recommended medications. Please note, as a private healthcare provider we do not have access to your NHS health records. Please give full and accurate information to the medical staff. PLEASE CHECK FIRST - IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS PLEASE SEEK URGENT MEDICAL ADVICE ON NHS: • A recent onset of significant pain and/or a feeling of pins and needles/numbness in both legs. • Loss of feeling/pins and needles between your inner thighs or genitals. • Numbness in or around your back passage or buttocks. • An altered feeling when using toilet paper to wipe yourself. • Increasing difficulty when you try to urinate. • increasing difficulty when you try to stop or control your flow of urine. • Loss of sensation when you pass urine. • Leaking of urine or recent use of pads. • Not knowing when your bladder is either empty or full. • Inability to stop a bowel motion or leaking. • Loss of sensation when you pass a bowel motion. • Change in ability to achieve an erection or ejaculate. • Loss of sensation in genitals during sexual intercourse
